Why are there 200.000 city and towns in Europe with no evangelical church?

So why are there so many cities and town in Europe with no evangelical church? I believe it’s because there is a lack of workers. If more Christians would be willing to leave their comfort zone and move to one of these towns, I believe many would get saved.

Just be available

One think I have learn as a missionary and church planter is the importance of just being available. In the town where my wife and I are starting a church now, we have arrange many different activities, like concerts, campaigns, meetings and so on. But when I today look at the people in the church, not many of them have come as a result of these activities.

Most of them have come, just because we where living here and where available. Of course the campaigns, concerts and bigger meetings were good and they filled an important purpose. But if we had not been living here I believe they had been a waist of time.

Harvest time

Jesus says in Matthew 9:37-38: "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."

It’s interesting to read here that Jesus is not asking us to pray for the Harvest. No, He is very specifically asking us to pray for workers. It is as if He is saying: “Hey, if we just have enough workers revival is no problem. The harvest is ready, we just need someone to reap it”

We should all pray this prayer, but it’s even better to be the prayer answer. Jesus is asking for workers and if you what to follow Him, then become a worker.

Europe is ready for revival is more Christians are willing to rise up and live as true disciples of Jesus Christ. If Gods people put on their work cloths in stead of their Sunday best, I believe we will see Europe brought back to God.
